STAMFORD MUSIC & ARTS ACADEMY
Fairfield County's Elite Conservatory Music Program
About SMAA
Stamford Music & Arts Academy offers engaging, conservatory quality instruction in piano, violin/viola, cello, flute, guitar, voice and music theory classes. Our Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) theory curriculum is recognized worldwide for excellence and results. Students also have access to group choir through the Stamford Youth Chorus and to chamber music opportunities. We also offer a visual art program for drawing and painting.
We provide customized private music lessons for 30, 45, or 60 minutes of instruction based on age and experience. Students perform in multiple recitals annually, can attend masterclasses, and participate in festivals, competitions, and special concerts. Recitals and other public performances help SMAA students develop confidence, poise, and stage presence—all valuable skills on their journey to adulthood.
SMAA’s world-class faculty are accomplished musicians and performers with pedigreed music education. Our faculty encourages creativity and love for music, emphasizes excellence, and seeks to enrich the lives of children and their families through the transformative power of music. SMAA’s mission is to provide the highest caliber of music and arts education to enable students to achieve their fullest potential.
We are “Fairfield County's Elite Conservatory Music Program” because we understand first hand conservatory music education for children and adults at all levels. We deliver a unique “academic rigor” providing a disciplined, goal-oriented approach. We train students with a wide range of objectives from professional aspirations to college preparatory goals, to earning advanced placement (AP) credits, or just to enjoy learning to play an instrument.
Our hardworking students have performed at Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall and won many prizes at prestigious festivals like Steinway & Sons Junior Piano Competition, Little Mozarts Competition, Crescendo International Music Competition, Young Musicians Festival of Fairfield County, Elite International Music Competition, Deborah Kahan Competition, Schubert Club Awards Competition, Young Artist Showcase, Suzanne Culley Competition, Connecticut Bach Festival, National Young Maestro Competition, IPPA Conero International Festival, and Connecticut PTA Reflections Competition. SMAA students are also members of the Norwalk Youth Symphony and participate in public and private school ensembles.
