Welcome to Stamford Music & Arts Academy! Thanks for taking a moment to consider our school for your children’s music education. Learning an instrument and playing music are priceless gifts parents can give to children, and the skills and family memories last forever.

My own journey as a player and performer started at 4 years old in Viet Nam, when my mother, a career cellist in the Hanoi Symphony and my father a well-known painter, decided to give these gifts to me. It all started with choosing the right music schools, teachers, and mentors on my own 35-year journey.  

As Artistic Director at Stamford Music & Arts Academy, I’m passionate about bringing high-quality music education, music appreciation, and music performance skills to children and adults. This passion is shared by the entire SMAA faculty, who all believe in the transformative power of music.

A hallmark at SMAA is recognizing that every student is different, and that their music learning journeys follow unique paths. We work diligently to understand student and parent goals, personalities, and learning styles to customize lesson and theory programs and teacher assignments.

Our customized curriculum and rigorous conservatory style program have consistently developed musical talent at all levels since 2014. SMAA students regularly win top awards at prestigious competitions and festivals and attend leading music colleges. Students learning for fun also thrive here.
