Summer Strings Camp
Summer Strings Camp at SMAA provides a welcoming environment for young string players to develop and refine instrument specific fundamentals, learn theory, and experience the joy of playing music together with others. Campers participate in masterclass-style learning, supervised practice, sectionals, ensemble playing, singing, and fun indoor and outdoor activities. Summer Strings Camp is for beginners through advanced skill levels ages 6-18, with one or more years of strings lessons. Our expert instructors will group campers with other children of similar ages and levels. All campers should have one polished/partially polished piece of music and bring any other music in progress.
Summer Strings Camp is held at our safe, spacious, and comfortable Progress Drive location near Westover Elementary School and Lione Park, and is available on 7 select weeks in June, July and August which are outlined on the registration page. Camps run Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm on the designated weeks. Early drop-off and late pick-up options are available as add-ons. Continuous supervision is provided.
